JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Designs, modifies, programs, tests, installs, and supports control systems that provide ongoing information operations for the Factory. Effective job performance requires initiative to establish priorities and a high degree of interaction with all Technicians. Have knowledge of Team Environment and ability to apply team concepts with all Technicians and Management staff. Technician will acquire new skills by conventional training along with hands on experience. The ability to communicate well, organize time and work and to interface well with all levels of management. Orientation towards collaborative management style, have the potential to lead and guide the activities of others. Participate in all required maintenance improvement plans for the factory designated as assigned by your management team.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to effectively handle and manage the solving of process control and information system related problems. Including PLC 5/XXE, SLC 500, Control Logix, RSLinx, Winn911, RSSQL, Asset Centre, Historian, MES Repository, Factory Talk SE, Thin Manager, Thin Clients, support and maintain plant virtual servers. Provide close Technical support at plant floor level for Maintenance Technicians and Process Operators when troubleshooting PLC and other plant control systems. Provide remote phone or network support and provide support on a call-in basis for process PLC problems on nights and weekends. Modifies PLC logic, HMI screens, instrumentation/controls and electrical drawings modification/updates using ACAD. Working Understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP LAN's and WAN's, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Windows Environments.

May be required to cover shifts due to illness and vacations.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: The qualified applicant will have strong leadership, communication and listening skills along with a proven record of attendance, meeting participation and conflict resolution. The applicant will also have knowledge of a business function based on prior experience in that area or as an individual working with that function. Individual will have a proven ability to solve business problems. Four-year degree preferred, in progress acceptable. Two years of software programming/design and installation experience.
