Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian Registered Nurse - OB/GYN at the Naval Health Clinic Lemoore-Family Practice in Lemoore, CA. This position will require full-time 40 hours a week schedule, Monday through Friday. Patients are seen for routine OB-GYN care including prenatal care, well women exams, and family planning. The OB-GYN Clinic provides outpatient OB-GYN care and nursing care through health promotion, prenatal screening, diagnosis, treatment, and education.

This contract position offers:

    Full-time schedule M-F 0600-1830
  • No on-call

Role Purpose

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.

Responsibilities

  • OB intake nurse(create a record for the pt, obtain history, order labs, educate on pregnancy care /colpo nurse (managing f/u paps)
  • Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
  • Develops and implements individual plans of care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
  • Evaluates patient's response and modifies plan of care accordingly throughout the patient's stay.
  • Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • An understanding of medical and clinic settings.
  • Shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with patients and other staff members.
  • Demonstrated competence email and written communication.
  • Availability to work a Monday-Friday schedule.
  • Possess and maintain a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Or obtain certification within 6 months of the hire date
  • Possess and maintain a current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Or obtain the certification within 6 months of the hire date
  • RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
  • Possess a mininum of 1 year of full-time experience OB/GYN within the last 3 years providing Obstetrics and Gynecology care
  • Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
