JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Worker reports to the Program Director and is in charge of program maintenance and will address the physical/maintenance needs of the facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Report any program rule violations detected.
  2. Make repairs as needed on furniture, plumbing, structures, and other systems.
  3. Ability to estimate project completion time, needed manpower, and material costs.
  4. Purchase materials.
  5. Maintain equipment.
  6. Make safety recommendations when unsafe working conditions are observed.
  7. Attend program staff meetings.
  8. Think and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
  9. Will drive on Agency business.
  10. Physical presence at the program is required.
  11. Comply with all Turning Point Safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to: workplace safety, reporting work related injuries, Infection Control and preventing potential safety risks for staff, clients and others.
  12. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee at Turning Point. Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start working. Employees also are expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule. Late arrival, early departure or other absences from scheduled hours are disruptive and must be avoided.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. High school diploma or GED required.
  2. Possess verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Report program rule violations when observed.
  4. Good general knowledge and skills in the areas of carpentry, plumbing, electrical and other skills relevant to general maintenance.
  5. Must have knowledge of tools to perform maintenance functions.
  6. Ability to use the equipment necessary to complete the responsibilities of the job.
  7. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication/meeting platforms.
  8. Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws. Agency insurer authorization is required.
  9. Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  10. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and TB test.
  11. Must maintain good relationships with current, future and past employees, co-workers, vendors, third party administrators, and others with whom the Agency is transacting business, and relate to them in a professional manner.

  • Pay Range: Class 105 ($16.15 - $21.26/hour)
