Position Description
Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers are residential, drug and alcohol treatment units of The Salvation Army. Program participants come from all walks of life and through voluntary and judicial system referrals. The program is available for men and women between the ages of 18 – 65 and is offered to individuals at no charge. The ARC recognizes that the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of the individual must be addressed before real progress can be achieved. The ARC offers a comprehensive program that includes counseling, work therapy and spiritual development. The Program is funded by the profits made from our Thrift Stores, which sell donated items.
The Intake Coordinator will screen applicants for the Program and develop, initiatiate and maintain Program referral sources within the Bay Area. Must be able to communicate effectively in person, on the phone and in writing. Requires an understanding of addictions and the ARC program. Should have a professional appearance, good interviewing skills, and basic computer literacy with the ability to learn complex procedures quickly. Counseling experience desirable but not essential. Must possess a valid CDL.
